Hot Dog Beach is East Quogue’s own Town beach, listed by the Town as Triton Beach and by everyone else by its nickname. The Town bought it in 2003 and has spent the years since upgrading it: the deck and walkway were renovated in 2019 and a new restroom building was finished in 2024. It has lifeguards, an outdoor shower and restrooms, an accessible ramp with handrails and a deck platform, and five ADA parking spaces on a concrete pad.
It is a smaller facility than Tiana Beach, which makes it easier to read: about a hundred parking spots, a lifeguard stand and a wide ocean in front. There is no concession, so bring lunch or head to Tiana for a snack bar. Anyone using a wheelchair will find the ramp and deck useful, and the accessible beaches guide compares the options across the fork.
The address is 35 Dune Road. Arrive early on summer weekends. Dogs are barred from April 1 to October 1, and alcohol, glass, smoking and vaping are not allowed. Permits and daily parking are on Hamptons Beach Pass.
