Information, not instructions
Beach rules, hours, fees and conditions are set by the town, village, county or state agency that runs each beach and change often. We cite the source on every page and date our checks, but we cannot promise a page is current when you arrive. Posted signs, flags and the lifeguard on duty override anything here.
Safety
Ocean and bay swimming carries risk. Nothing on this site makes a beach safe. You are responsible for your own supervision of children, your choice of swimming area and your compliance with the law.
