Hamptons Beaches With Food: Snack Bars and Food Trucks

A dozen beaches have lunch on site. Many others do not, so check before you go.

Some Hamptons beaches have a concession or food truck on the sand and many do not. The Town of East Hampton lists food trucks at Indian Wells, Ditch Plains, Kirk Park and East Lake, and a concession stand at Atlantic Avenue. The Town of Southampton lists food concessions at Ponquogue and Tiana and mobile concessions at five other beaches (see the table below). Suffolk County lists a food concession at Cupsogue and Meschutt.

Concession hours and operators change, and the lists below show what the operators publish, not a menu. For restaurants in the nearby town, see Eat Hamptons rather than guessing.

When there is nothing

Unguarded and road-end beaches have no food. Bring lunch, water and a bag for trash. Town of Southampton beaches bar alcohol and glass; the Village of Southampton bars alcohol at Cooper’s; the Town of East Hampton bars alcohol within 1,000 feet of the road end during lifeguard hours. Pack a soft cooler and drinks in cans or plastic.

Picnic supplies

For a picnic built from farm stands, bakeries and seafood markets rather than a concession, Eat Hamptons keeps a verified list of Hamptons farm stands, bakeries and seafood markets.

Questions

Do Hamptons beaches have snack bars?

Some do. The Towns list concession stands at Atlantic Avenue, Ponquogue and Tiana, food trucks at several Montauk and Amagansett beaches and mobile concessions at others.
