Ponquogue is Hampton Bays’ ocean beach and the Town of Southampton’s most amenity-heavy one. The Town bought it in 1952 and renovated it completely in 2019. It has more than 600 feet of oceanfront, lifeguards, restrooms, an outdoor shower, a food concession, a deck with picnic tables, volleyball courts, accessible beach access and a beach wheelchair when an attendant is present.

It is also the Town’s busiest. Ponquogue frequently reaches full capacity on summer weekends, with 478 parking spaces on the ocean side and 84 more on the bay side for overflow. When the lot closes, Tiana is the nearest alternative. In 2025 the Town added lifeguard coverage here for the two weekends after Labor Day.

The address is 276 Dune Road, and the Ed Warner Sr. Marine Park at the Old Ponquogue Bridge sits beside it for fishing and boats. Dogs are barred from April 1 to October 1. Fees and permit rules are on Hamptons Beach Pass.
