Flying Point is a small beach on a big coast, in Water Mill. It has 250 feet of Atlantic shoreline on a parcel donated by the Burnett family in March 1952, with lifeguards, an outdoor shower, a mobile concession, handicapped parking and a beach wheelchair when a lifeguard is on duty. There are 178 parking spaces.

Small means it fills. Daily parking is sold Monday to Friday, not on holidays, and Hamptons Beach Pass has the current rule before you drive to Water Mill. Guards work 10am to 5pm whenever the beach is open. The surf is open Atlantic, so the same flag and rip current awareness applies as everywhere else on the coast. The rip current guide is short and worth reading.

The address is 1055 Flying Point Road. Dogs are not allowed at the beach from April 1 to October 1, and there is no alcohol, glass or smoking. The beach closes at 9pm. Mecox Inlet is on the same road, and the Town lists it as a dog-allowed access road in off-hours. When the lot is full, Mecox Beach is the next Town beach east.
