Quogue’s beach story is simple: one public ocean beach, Quogue Village Beach at 170 to 172 Dune Road, run by the Village with lifeguards from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It keeps 10am to 6pm hours, an hour later than the Town of Southampton’s 10am to 5pm shift.
The beach has no concession listed, so the practical question is what to do for lunch and for a second option. Both neighbors answer it: Rogers Beach in Westhampton Beach to the west has a concession stand and showers, and Hot Dog Beach in East Quogue to the east is a rebuilt Town beach with an accessible deck.

How the Village runs its beach
The Village staffs the beach from Memorial Day weekend, weekends only into late June, then every day through Labor Day, with a named beach manager and head lifeguard. Sticker and locker applications are handled through the Village’s Forms and Permits page. The Village’s beach page also points residents to the Army Corps of Engineers’ Fire Island to Montauk Point project, which can shape the beach and dune over time.

Quogue is a good town for a quiet beach day and a poor one for a spontaneous one: parking and permits are tightly managed. Read Hamptons Beach Pass before you plan a trip, and use the lifeguard calendar for dates.
