Two Mile Hollow is East Hampton Village’s easy guarded beach. It is the third of the three Village beaches with lifeguards, working 10am to 5pm, with the Village flag system and restrooms that open whenever guards are on duty. The address is 50 Two Mile Hollow Road.
On a busy Saturday it tends to be less crowded than Main Beach, which makes it a good call for a family that wants a guard without the pavilion crowd. Outside guard hours the beach is swim at your own risk.
The Village’s guarded stretch ends just past Two Mile Hollow, where Town of East Hampton lifeguards take over. If you walk east, the flags, the hours and the rules change when you cross the line. No fishing, watercraft or surfboards in designated swimming areas, and no dogs from 9am to 6pm between May 15 and September 15.
Parking and permits are on Hamptons Beach Pass. Compare it with the rest of East Hampton’s beaches.
